Some people seem to think. It's Halo 3, goodbye PS3. But Killzone 2 is really hyped it even has it's own E3 event. If Killzone 2 lives up and comes this year, that could change things to where PS3 could stay in it. Even some loyal XBOTS who love shooters might be interested.
It depends on how good Killzone 2 looks, which is suppose to be Halo 3's rival. Obviously Halo 3 is the big one. But after Halo 3 what's exclusive for XBOX 360 this year?
I think of Mass Effect, Bioshock and Blue Dragon.
For PS3 I think Lair, Heavenly Sword, Uncharted, Ratchet & Clank and maybe folklore.
Obviously Killzone 2 for PS3 this year would go along way to making their lineup better.

I'm happy with it. It's Ninja Gaiden but obviously at a next gen level graphicly. And the most important thing, it's easier. It's more managable, it's still challenging but nothing like the Original for XBOX. So now, I'm actually enjoying this great game which also has a lot of exlporing and adventure elements.
I think these quotes are just by represtatives who's jobs and mindsets are just to be postive. I don't think Sony in general really believes this anymore. They understand the situation and that's why they are putting out Killzone 2 and had Sony Gamers day when the Halo 3 beta started. They are trying to counter Halo 3 right now. And also if there is a price drop at E3 like it's rumored, that's more evidence that they see the danger RIGHT NOW.

If they don't hold there own with XBOX 360 this year, they are in trouble. They can't afford to fall behind that much more. You can clearly see that the PS3 ISN'T more advanced than XBOX 360 graphicly, and in a 4 years the most Microsoft will come out with XBOX 720 and PS3 will be outdated.

Any reason why they cancelled it. While this isn't one of the big hitters, I guess every game counts. There's some people who do like this game. I would say it's all bad for Sony PS3 but with rumors of Bioware and Epic developing for PS3, it kinda makes up for this loss.
Still, I'd like to know why it was cancelled. What could be so different about PS3 development wise?

Anyway, I agree on the blood. From what I've seen from the videos and the art nature of the game, it doesn't seem like sloppy blood spatters would go to well. However if you want blood look at Ninja Gaiden Sigma, when you kill a guy they just disappear or explode in their blood puddle.
Oh well, this is as silly as the article on PS3 getting GTA downloadable content. This how sites get their traffic.
The threat of Halo 3 and possible XBOX 360 price cut of it's own.
Sony needs to pull all the stops just to survive, obviously a strong showing from Killzone 2 and if people seek High Defintion video this year, might help the PS3 get by. But if not, could be over.

100 price cut and put the PS3 on sale by another 100, until blu ray becomes a factor then put the price up to $499 again. Sounds desperate, but desperate times call for desperate measures. It's just getting that bad for Sony.
Finally I know headset to buy for PS3. Stupid Sony should make their own real first party headset for PS3.

Why would this game be delayed on PS3? The article says it uses the unreal engine? So the hell what? The game always used the unreal engine and it was suppose to be a PS3 exclsuive at some point.

Some things that struck me, they make it seem like PS3 doesn't have Grand Theft Auto IV also. How do you stay in the battle against Halo 3 and Gran Theft Auto 4? Maybe Killzone 2 and Grand Theft Auto 4?

Stands out to me the most is that PS3 fans really welcomed this port, even more so than the Darkness which was the biggest new game this month. It's sorta of a good sign that the # 1 game for XBOX 360 isn't # 1 on PS3, PS3 fans had something even more wanted.
